Damn, I'm going to miss this one so hard. I've stocked up to stave off the drought, but I really hope it comes back, but *not* as Retro only, because one weakness of the Calavera is its extreme friability; its outer shell is easily cracked by the smallest shake or squeeze, and its swirling antics aren't quite as fun then. Not a top choice for posting, then.
A proper Calavera is a shiny adventure. It's warmly, sweetly citrussy and it gives good fizz, especially with its streamer-like trails of thick, frothing colour. Although it foams up well, it's not overpowering in either its smell or its soapiness, but it's a full bath experience rather than a short distraction, as some other ballistics appear to to be. It dissipates easily leaving a pleasant skin scent - all except for the long pieces of citrus zest. Some people have complained about them getting everywhere, but frankly I love them. they're fresh, they make your skin and hair smell lovely, and they're nowhere near as annoying as small sharp sheds of metal. I never feel I need much else in the way of treats after a Calavera, and I'd really enjoy seeing them again.
